Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 + DOE

Industry: Construction / Commercial & Residential Development

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all plans, specifications, and local regulations. The Construction Superintendent coordinates all subcontractors, vendors, and inspections, monitors project quality, and serves as the key point of communication for project teams. This role also ensures safety standards are met and represents a professional, customer-focused presence on all job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee subcontractor, vendor, and consultant schedules to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Perform quality checks and enforce job site standards.
  • Communicate project updates, RFIs, and material submittals with internal teams.
  • Verify subcontractors meet contractual obligations and scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local authorities.
  • Identify and address safety, health, and environmental compliance issues.
  • Resolve scheduling or construction conflicts in collaboration with project teams.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs of job site activities.
  • Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress and plan future work.
  • Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
  • Issue notices for non-compliance regarding quality or schedule.
  • Ensure job site cleanliness, organization, and proper punch list completion.
  • Assist with budgeting, bidding, and subcontract approvals.
  • Support permitting processes and maintain project documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and/or residential construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and construction-related software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform light physical activity during site inspections.
  • Emotionally stable, adaptable, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when required.
