The Digital Marketing Manager will develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies for the Curio Wellness brand and our retail dispensaries in Maryland and Missouri. This role will build brand awareness, engage consumers, convey our product narratives and drive traffic to our dispensary locations. The role oversees all CRM for the Curio Wellness brand and our retail dispensaries and will develop strategies and tactics to leverage our audiences in innovative and compelling ways. The objective of this role is to build and engage the Curio and retail audiences, grow product market share, drive traffic, and generate demand to achieve the company’s revenue goals. The Digital Marketing Manager will lead the optimization and growth of our owned digital channels, including email, website, app, and will collaborate with the Social Media Manager on organic social channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies aligned with our brand positioning and business objectives
  • Manage all digital marketing channels, including website, email, SMS, and digital advertising
  • Create compelling content tailored to different platforms while ensuring compliance with state cannabis marketing regulations
  • Build powerful customer acquisition activities to grow the size of our addressable ecosystem
  • Oversee SEO/SEM strategies to improve website visibility and drive organic traffic
  • Plan and execute digital campaigns for product launches, promotions, and brand/dispensary events
  • Build scalable processes for digital customer communications to create leverage as we grow our footprint
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to optimize marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with the retail operations team and retail Marketing Managers to align marketing initiatives with local market needs
  • Manage relationships with marketing vendors, agencies, and technology partners
  • Manage and optimize our presence on key cannabis platforms, Leafly, Weedmaps, and Jane.
  • Stay informed about cannabis marketing regulations in the states where we operate
  • Develop and manage digital marketing budgets to maximize ROI
  • Map out email strategy and measure performance, making strategic recommendations for improved engagement
  • Develop and execute digital growth strategies such as display ads, targeted programmatic campaigns, and co-marketing executions with 3rd party dispensaries
  • Lead, develop, and execute original, channel-specific content strategy across our owned and paid media
  • Monitor digital media trends, tactics, and tools to provide recommendations that help maintain brand relevancy and industry leadership.

  • 5+ years working experience as Digital Marketing Manager in B2C cannabis, CPG or retail environments
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM tools such as Alpine, Klavio or similar
  • Proven ability to develop strategic recommendations and present to leadership
  • Experience in identifying and deploying to target audiences and devising effective campaigns

  • Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred
