Materials / Production Control Manager- Specialty Vehicles

Shelby, North Carolina- $110-$130,000.

Our client is seeking a Materials and Production Control Manager for their operation in Shelby, NC. Must have dealt with all components and raw materials to build these vehicles ‘ground-up’!

Purchasing

• Issue purchase orders from the following sources:
• WOBOM
• Shortages
• Prototype support
• Expediate open purchase orders to confirm timing of parts coming in
• Negotiate pricing on major components (steel, tires, run flats, glass, Stealth etc
• Dual source strategy on key components when possible
• Material and purchase item due dates based on identified production schedule

Production Control

• Print and release work orders to shop floor
• Piece part
• Weldments
• Paint
• Assembly
• Develop/maintain master production schedule
• Close out workorders if open after production has moved to next lot
• Issue Stop work orders
• Monitor status of workorders through the manufacturing process

Materials / Inventory

• Kitting
• Maintain inventory on fabrication and Integration lines
• Track shortages and work with Purchasing and Fabrication to address/eliminate
• Maintain Inventory levels in Mietrak
• Establish inventory locations
• Move material/inventory around facilities

Shipping / Receiving

• Confirm parts received part numbers and quantities match Purchase orders
• Receive parts in Mietrak
• Ship parts as required
• Manage truck pickup and deliveries

Manufacturing Engineering

• Process Engineering Releases (templates, tooling, fixturing, testing, etc)
• Work with engineering to assure parts our designed for manufacturability
• Create routings in Mietraks
• Make/Buy decision
