Job Description

Part-Time Patron Services & Box Office Associate

Your Community. Your Arts. Your Front Row.

Be part of the experience!

Do you love the buzz before a show begins? The hum of conversation in the lobby? The moment when someone says, “This is my first time here!” We’re looking for a friendly, organized, people-loving person to join our team as our next Patron Services & Box Office Associate. This role is at the heart of the patron experience. You’ll help set the tone for every performance, from first phone call to final applause.

If you take pride in making people feel welcome and love being part of something creative and community-driven, we’d love to meet you.

This is a part-time, in-office role in our vibrant arts-driven community. Evening and weekend availability is required when performances are happening. That’s when the magic comes to life.

What You’ll Do

Welcome & Assist Patrons

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with ticket sales in person and by phone
  • Answer questions, provide event information, and resolve concerns with care and efficiency
  • Ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to hospitality and professionalism

Manage Ticketing & Transactions

  • Process cash and credit card payments accurately and securely
  • Support box office reporting, ticket mailings, and special promotions
  • Assist with comp tickets, donation requests, and community access programs

Event Support

  • Support performances and special events, including busy pre-show periods
  • Coordinate and support our amazing box office volunteers at every concert
  • Collaborate with marketing, development, and other teams to ensure seamless communication and teamwork

Office & Administrative Support

  • Welcome visitors and provide reception support at our corporate office
  • Respond to email and phone inquiries in a timely, professional manner
  • Pitch in where needed. We’re a collaborative nonprofit team!

Schedule

  • Part-time, in-office position
  • Evening and weekend availability required for performances and events
  • Additional hours may be available during high-volume periods

Flexibility, reliability, and a team-first mindset are essential in this role.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2 years of customer service experience (box office, retail, hospitality, or similar preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that are warm, clear, and professional
  • Experience handling financial transactions accurately and securely
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfort with basic computer applications and ticketing systems (Tessitura experience is a plus)
  • Experience working with volunteers or coordinating teams is a plus
  • Enthusiasm for live events and community engagement

Arts experience is welcome, but a great attitude and customer-first mindset matter most.

Why Join Us?

Working here means being part of something bigger than a job. You’re helping bring live performance to life in our community.

Part-time benefits include:

  • Paid Time Off and holidays (pro-rated for part-time employees)
  • Optional retirement savings plan
  • Discounted and/or complimentary tickets to performances
  • A collaborative, mission-driven workplace
  • The opportunity to work in the heart of our vibrant arts community
