Come join the Casper’s Ice Cream team as we produce our very own FatBoy Ice Cream novelties and other frozen treats! We are currently seeking applicants to join our Quality Control team! (And YES, we have weekly factory seconds giveaways for employees to take home and fill their freezers!)

Schedule

• Grave Shift, 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
• Everyday, Monday through Thursday

Pay

• $18.50/hr. starting pay + $2 grave differential = $20.50/hr. to start

Requirements

• Performing quality control checks
• Pre operation inspection and swabbing
• Internal audits
• Metal detector checks
• Coding checks
• Production assistance
• Data entry and record keeping of quality checks and food safety controls
• Oversee that all company policies and food safety practices are being followed
• Develop and improve food safety programs and policies including documentation review and verification
• ALLERGEN WARNING: This position may come in direct contact with peanuts and tree nuts, including skin contact with pieces, oils, and/or dust from grinding.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have one year of quality or food manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of food safety programs such as HACCP, GMPs, and SOPs
• Regular and reliable attendance is essential function of this position
• Hard working with strong attention to detail
• Detail oriented in data collection, documentation, and record keeping
• Fluent reading and writing skills, including basic technical document comprehension
• Basic math skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office and general computer operations
• Able to follow detailed work instructions and procedures with precision and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication, supporting team members, and resolving conflict
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and good judgement in decision making

Work Environment

• Work locations include warehouses and manufacturing process rooms with high noise levels and moving equipment
• May be required to work inside and outside
• Will work primarily in room temperature environments. Temperatures inside the plant may vary from over 80 degrees and humid to -20 degrees depending on location
• Position requires frequent walking between production lines, storage areas, and quality checkpoints throughout the shift
