$40 - $45/hour

Option 1 is currently seeking a professional and knowledgeable Buyer for one of our Medical Device clients. The ideal candidate should have the ability to plan, prepare, and control material requirements and purchases to support the continuous flow and delivery of products. As well as managing operational vendor performance by enhancing long-term partnerships, and negotiating.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies raw material, component, and sub-assembly requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
• Prepares and places purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
• Schedules and expedites the movement of parts as necessary.
• Interfaces with vendors regarding sourcing, pricing, and related issues.
• Negotiates with vendors to ensure that goods and services purchased are priced competitively and that all contracts or pricing agreements meet guidelines.
• Communicate product delivery and pricing information.
• Identifies and implements strategies to realize cost reductions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of directly related work experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Healthcare experience is a plus!
