  • Orion Placement
  • Los Angeles, CA

Job Description

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Why This Is a Great Opportunity

  • Join a high-level commercial real estate practice doing sophisticated transactional work.
  • Take on a true specialist role with heavy title and survey responsibility, not just general paralegal support.
  • Work remotely while still being part of a collaborative California-based team.
  • Get meaningful ownership over complex acquisitions, financings, dispositions, and closings.
  • Be part of a boutique platform known for high standards, strong teamwork, and excellent client service.

Location: Fully remote, with a strong preference for candidates based in Los Angeles or San Diego so they can participate in local team meetups and relationship-building. Strong candidates elsewhere in California will also be considered.

Note: Candidates must have substantial California commercial real estate transactional paralegal experience, with deep title and survey review experience in a law firm or strong real estate practice environment.

About Us We are a premier commercial real estate law firm focused on delivering exceptional outcomes, practical advice, and a high level of client service. Our team values diligence, trust, transparency, honesty, candor, and the pursuit of excellence, and we are committed to creating an environment where talented professionals can grow and thrive. Confidential Employer.

  • Work directly with title companies to resolve objections and secure final policies and endorsements
  • Review purchase agreements, contracts, and leases
  • Prepare closing checklists, critical date timelines, escrow instructions, and closing binders
  • Coordinate closings with attorneys, clients, lenders, escrow officers, and title officers
  • Assist with entity formation, registration, and maintenance
  • Support due diligence for acquisitions, dispositions, leases, and financings
  • Prepare lease abstracts
  • Track deadlines and keep attorneys and clients informed of key dates
  • Train and help manage junior paralegals and other legal staff
  • Support client relationship growth and business development efforts
  • Handle a busy transactional workload professionally and with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a California transactional real estate paralegal
  • Strong law firm or reputable real estate practice group background
  • Deep title and survey review experience
  • Strong knowledge of title insurance, title policies, and endorsements, including ALTA and CLTA
  • Thorough understanding of commercial acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and multitasking ability
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize effectively
  • High level of professionalism, dependability, and discretion

Why You Will Love Working Here

  • Fully remote flexibility with real team connection
  • Sophisticated, substantive commercial real estate work
  • Collaborative boutique environment with strong standards
