Key Responsibilities

• Design and layout automatic fire sprinkler systems using CAD or design software (e.g., AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD).
• Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure system performance and code compliance.
• Prepare submittal drawings, material lists, and fabrication sheets.
• Coordinate design work with architects, general contractors, and other trades.
• Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
• Conduct field surveys to verify site conditions and measurements.
• Assist in project planning, estimating, and scheduling as needed.
• Ensure all designs comply with NFPA standards, local authority requirements, and company policies.
• Provide technical support to installation teams during construction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design (commercial, industrial, or residential).
• Proficiency with design software such as AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD, or similar.
• Strong understanding of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and local building/fire codes.
• NICET Level II or higher in Fire Protection Engineering Technology (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
