We’re supporting our client, a leading food manufacturer based in Hawthorne, New Jersey who are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Industrial Engineer will have experience in continuous improvement, as well as experience in a food manufacturing environment.
About You:
• 5-10 years plant-based Food/CPG manufacturing evaluating production flows, hourly staffing and standards development for operations in high-speed packaging (prefer food/ but pharm and or other food CPG)
• Experience in continuous improvement, (prefer certified black belt in lean manufacturing but willing to consider lower-level certification)
• Plant floor-based role observing production processes, identifying root cause of waste (all 7 forms) and leading CI projects with supervision, maintenance, and hourly employees to change practices. Has led zero-analysis, Kaizen, VSM, Visual Management and other standard lean improvement projects with demonstrated sustained implementation - emphasis on doer, not reporter advisor
• Has project led “small” capital projects ($50-500K)
• Understands cost accounting (from an operational perspective) and knowledge translating operating KPI and performance into financial metrics including labor & material standards
• Degreed IE candidate (would consider ME/CE, but typically work we are asking role is assigned to IE)
• Bilingual plus
